The Head Student Team at Bentley Wood plays a pivotal role in fostering a strong sense of leadership and community within the school.
One of their standout efforts is their involvement in charity events in support of their chosen House charities. Head of Fire House, Jiya G spearheaded a very popular event for all staff and students which was run in collaboration with the fantastic team of “elves” in 7CMI. Staff and students had the opportunity to purchase candy canes for just 50p, each paired with a heartfelt message to send to friends and colleagues.
Here is an elf’s account of the charity initiative:
Two weeks before the holidays we sold candy canes with personalised message cards to students and staff for 50p each. Then in the last week of term we delivered the candy canes all over the school.
We all got to do a bit of all the tasks involved and I really enjoyed attaching the candy canes to the message cards. It was great fun working as a team and playing such an important role in a House charity event.
